Works

Works are the core of BeanRails. Every service appointment is a work.

Creating a Work

  1. Go to Works → + New Work
  2. Select a Contact (client / work site)
  3. Set the date and time
  4. Assign a technician
  5. Add work details — service type, description, notes
  6. Click Save

The technician will see the work immediately in their mobile app.

Work Statuses

Status Meaning
Scheduled Work created, not yet started
In Progress Technician has started the work
Completed Technician marked work as done
Cancelled Work was cancelled

Attaching Documents

You can attach certificates, reports, or other documents to a work:

  1. Open the work
  2. Scroll to the Documents section
  3. Click Upload and select the file

Technicians can view these documents in the mobile app.

Submissions

When a technician completes a work, they upload photos as proof. You can view these under the work's Submissions tab.

Work History

All past works for a contact are visible under the contact's profile. Use this to track service history per client.
