BeanRails supports multiple currencies so you can create documents for clients in different countries.
Accessing Currencies
Go to Settings → Currencies.
Currencies Table
| Column | Description |

| Name | Currency name (e.g. US Dollar) |
| Country | Country the currency belongs to |
| ISO3 | Three-letter currency code (e.g. USD, GBP) |
| Symbol | Currency symbol (e.g. $, £, €) |
| Rate | Exchange rate relative to your primary currency |
| Primary | Badge shown on the primary currency |
Adding a Currency
- Click + New Currency
- Select a Country — the Name, ISO3, and Symbol are filled in automatically
- Adjust Name or Symbol if needed
- Enter an Exchange Rate relative to your primary currency
- Select a Number Format (e.g.
1,000.00or1.000,00) - Click Save
Primary Currency
The primary currency is the default for all new documents and financial totals. It is marked with a Primary badge in the currencies table.
To change the primary currency, click Set as Primary on any non-primary currency row.
Warning
Changing the primary currency affects exchange rate calculations on all documents. Make sure exchange rates are up to date before switching.
Editing a Currency
Click the edit icon on any currency row to update the name, symbol, exchange rate, or number format.
Deleting a Currency
Click the delete icon to remove a currency. The primary currency cannot be deleted.
Tip
Update exchange rates regularly if you work with overseas clients to keep your pricing accurate.
